Why GitLab asks for access

PipeDash needs API access to read pipeline status.

  • Read your profileUsed to create your PipeDash session and apply workspace access rules.
  • Read projects and groupsUsed to find projects you are allowed to track and skip anything outside your GitLab access.
  • Read pipelines, jobs, and logsUsed to render the timeline, job details, and log viewer.

Tokens are encrypted at rest. PipeDash does not receive your GitLab password, and it only requests data from the GitLab host you choose here.
